The Côte de Beaune consists of Beaune – the capital of Burgundy wines as it is called in France – and its surrounding vineyards and villages to the south. It is crossed by the Route des Grands Crus. This unique wine region is classified by UNESCO: the Climats du Vignoble de Bourgogne. A magnificent biking route is accessible in all seasons, between Beaune and Santenay, called La Voie des Vignes. It is a must for every Burgundy wine lover ! (you may also cycle north towards Nuits-St-Georges but the way is harder)
